Winemaker's Notes
2000 was not a fantastic year like 1998 or 1999. However, this is ripest Pinot gris ever picked from O'Connor Vineyard. It shows in the wine. The fruit was whole cluster pressed, fermented in tank, and aged on the lees for six months.
Tasting Notes
The nose is full of pretty fruit and spice notes. But, its the mouth that provides the knockout punch. Great fruit flavors are surrounded by rich textures. This is very fun wine to drink. This is the best O'Connor ever and is wonderful gris even by Alsacian standards. Great with seafood, appetizers, and picnics.
